PAINTING PEOPLE FROM PHOTOS
A two week workshop by Martinho Correia
Date: May 14th, 2012 - May 25th, 2012
Cost: $1050.00 Cdn funds ($500.00 non-refundable deposit with balance due April 16th, 2012)

All stages of the creative process will be explained including photographing the subject, colour design, drawing and all painting stages. In the first week students will work on a figure painting and in the second will complete a self portrait. The focus is figurative but this process can be used with all subject matter from still life to landscape.

Reservations are recommended as student numbers are purposely limited to allow for a high degree of individual attention. Materials List and Schedule will be forwarded once you have registered.

Instructor: Martinho Isidro Correia is a fine artist and educator, a graduate of the University of Calgary (BFA in Painting), University of British Columbia in Vancouver (BEd in Art Education), Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy (Diploma in Drawing and Painting) and The European University/Pontifical Athenaeum, ‘Regina Apostolorum’ in Rome (Masters in Architecture, Sacred Art and Liturgy). He splits his time between Canada and Europe.
