Rick Berg Artist Biography

Rick Berg is a self taught artist working mainly in oils, originally from Red Deer, Alberta now based in Crossfeild Alberta. His work is clearly influenced by the special light, landscapes and wildlife found between the praries and mountains.

His work has been included in Government Traveling Exhibits, one man, and group shows in Canada and the United States. With purchases by the Government of Alberta, Major Corporations and private collectors. He is a frequent contributor auctions, stamps and poster projects in support of organizations such as Trout Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, federation of fly fisherman, and the Bull Trout Task Force.

His paintings have served as covers for support equipment catalouges and magazines such as Alberta hunting and fishing, and rural montana.

Rick`s 25 year struggle to develop himself as an artist has made him sensitive to the needs of students, and since 1989 he has dedicated part of every year to bringing his experience to classes throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan.
