In this 12 week course, we will paint strictly from life, focusing on creating believable forms, rich layers and distinctive brushwork. We will learn to accurately identify what we see and translate that to the canvas with both sensitivity and gusto.
The course will include single-session paintings and paintings that are developed over 2 or more class days.
Our subjects will be still life, florals, portraits and figures.
This course is appropriate for oil and acrylic painters with some experience. Demonstrations will be in oil.
Dates: Tuesdays ,September 13 to November 29, 12:30 to 3:30 pm
OR
Wednesdays, September 14 to November 30, 6:00 to 9:00 pm
Cost: $360 + model fee for 4 classes (depending on the number of students, this fee varies but is usually between $5 and $10 per student)
