Open Studio with Darcy Presiloski

If you are interested in portraiture or want to draw or paint animals this is for you! The

open studio concept allows for individual study. You can work on a subject of your

choice or Darcy can set up an individual study plan for a particular subject, technique

or medium.

Choices of medium: graphite, charcoal, acrylic or oil. For graphite, charcoal Darcy will

guide you through the sketching, drawing and compositional stages of your piece, then

on to rendering and completing the drawn image. In the case of painting, sketching,

drawing and composition are taught as well as painting preparation, mixing colour,

under-painting and various finishing techniques.

There will be some group instruction on topics of general interest such as sketching

and drawing techniques, composition, preparing canvases, choosing drawing

and painting supplies as well as demonstrations of techniques.

Each studio session will include individual instruction.
