These classes are for those who are new to drawing and painting or those that would like to expand their skills.  We will begin with basic drawing instruction focusing on finding form, seeing and using tonal value to create volume and basic composition.

Students will be shown a variety of materials used for painting.  Instruction will include: planning your piece, preparing the canvas, how to mix colors and paint application techniques. Oil paints are suggested but if you have acrylic paints they can be used.

The subjects for the classes will be dogs, cats, horses and other animals of interest.  Drawing will take up the first half of the instruction period, with painting during the last half.

Fees: $25 per class, paid monthly
